GATE  2019 Result will be announced soon by Organizing Authority in month of March on behalf of National Coordination Board, MHRD, Government of India. IISC  and IIT’s has successfully carried out the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2019  for admission to M.E / M.Tech / Direct Ph.D in Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT’s), Indian Institutes of Science (IISC) and other Institutes , Universities , Laboratories across the country for the academic session 2019-2020. The score also used by some public and private sector undertakings for employment process in India. Candidates who are appeared in the GATE Exam they can check their exam result by entering their Enrollment Id / Password from the GOAPS Portal of official web portal.

When will be released the GATE 2019 Results

 

GATE is a national level qualifying examination for admission to various Post Graduate and Ph.D programmes. Every year IIT conducts exam for Bachelor Degree holders . In similar manner authority has conducted 2019 test in the month of February 2019 and was attend by a large number candidates aspiring to complete PG programmes. Aspirants from  all parts of the country appeared in the test at different examination centers across the India. The exam being over now, the candidates are looking for the date of declaration of the result . The aspirants can check their most awaited results from the official website.

GATE 2019 Score

GATE Exam 2019 authority declares the All India merit list based on the scores obtained by the candidates in Computer Based Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Exam 2019 conducted in 23 papers online  on February / 2019. Selection and placement of candidate shall be made purely on the basis of marks secured by him / her in the Entrance Test. Rank list list shall be published on the basis of the result of Entrance Test both category -wise and subject-wise. The scores obtained have been calculate by assigning 

➤ 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks

➤  1-Mark multiple choice questions, 1/2 mark will be deducted for wrong answer.

➤ 2-Mark multiple choice questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted for wrong answer 

➤ No negative marks for numerical answer type questions 

After evaluation of the answers, normalized marks based on the above formula will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate and the Score will be calculated based on the normalized marks.  For all papers for which there is only one session, actual marks obtained will be used for calculating the GATE 2018 Score. The score will be computed using the formula given below.

Gate Score = Sq +(St-Sq ) (M-Mq / Mt-Mq)

All India Ranking has been arrived based on the Score of the candidate. The qualifying score has been based on self declared Category by the candidate. Designated Admission authorities will be responsible to ascertain the Category of the candidate from their valid original documents at the time of admission.


GATE  Score Card 2019

After the declaration of result, qualified candidates can download their GATE 2019 Score Card for the paper (for which he/she has taken the examination). The score cards can be downloaded between March, 2019 to May , 2019 from the official website. GATE score cards can be downloaded by 

 
1. All SC/ST/PwD candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying mark of SC/ST/PwD candidates in their respective papers.
 
2. All other candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying mark of OBC (NCL) candidates in their respective papers

In case any candidate requires a soft copy of his/her Score Card after May , 2019 till December 31, 2019, they can do so by paying a fee of 500 (five hundred only) on the GOAPS portal.

Cutoff

GATE cutoff 2019 marks for different courses will be published on the official website . The cutoff marks are very important for each appearing candidate. The candidate can get an idea of minimum marks required for qualification of the exam by knowledge of the cutoff marks. The cutoff will be on the basis of number of applicants and complexity of this exam. The exam will be conducted 100 marks in 3 hours duration.

About GATE Results

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering conducted by IISc and IITs has emerged as one of the bench mark tests for engineering and science aptitude in facilitating admissions for higher education (M.E / M.Tech / Ph.D.) in IITs, IISc and various other Institutes/Universities/Laboratories in India. With the standard and high quality of the examination in 23 disciplines of engineering and science subjects, it identifies the candidate’s understanding of a subject and aptitude and eligibility for higher studies. During the last few years, GATE score is also being used as one of the criteria for recruitment in Government Organizations such as Cabinet Secretariat, and National/State Public Sector Undertakings in India. Because of the importance of the this examination, the number of candidates appearing in GATE exams has increased tremendously and in GATE 2019 more than nine hundred fifty thousand candidates applied for the examination.

 
A valid GATE score is essential for obtaining financial assistance (scholarship) during Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture, and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science in Institutes supported by the MHRD or other Government agencies. If the candidate is to be selected through test/interview for post-graduate programs, a minimum of 70% weightage will be given to the performance in test and the remaining 30% weightage will be given to the candidate’s performance in test/interview and/or academic record.
 

Several public sector undertakings, have, in the past, used GATE scores for screening of candidates. A few such organizations are: Indian Oil Corporation Limited, National Thermal Power Corporation, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and Power Grid Corporation etc. A few performance and statistical data from examinations given below

How to Get GATE 2019 Results 


The organizing authority will be declared ranks in the month of March, all the candidates who are interested have applied for this GATE and participate in the entrance test, check their rank through official link.  The Result consist of Candidate Name, Father Name, Registration Number, Date of Birth, Category,Examination Paper, Marks,Total Marks, Rank, All the qualified candidates are also required to take a printout of the score card. Finally submitted in counseling, score card will not sent by post and email. 

Step-1 : Logging to the official website http://appsgate.iitr.ac.in

Step-2 : Search for related link, 
             
Step-3 :  Clicking  on the tab “Login “, new page appear on the screen.

Step-4 :  Enter the Enrollment Id / E-mail Address 

Step-5 : After enter the required details and click submit button  

Step-6 : After clicking the submit button, your entry’s is correct, marks will be displayed on the new screen

Step-7 : Save it, download it and take the printout.

Forgot Enrollment Id / Password ?

1. If you remember the Enrollment Id and forgotten password, click on “Request for an OTP” to get One time password.

 

2. If you already have on OTP, click on ” Already have an OTP?” to reset the password.

3. If you do not remember the Enrollment Id, click on ” Forgot Enrollment Id” to get enrollment Id via SMS.

Salient Features

1. GATE score is valid for 3-Years  from the date of announcement of of results.

2. Admission in IIT’s / IISC or other Institutes for M.E / M.Tech / Ph.D through GATE scores shall be advertised separately by Institutes. 

3. The criteria for postgraduate admission with scholarship/assistant ship could be different for different institutions.

4. Separate Score Cards will not be sent by post or e-mail to the candidates.
